Google unveils new "Sound Matters" collection of Pixel ringtones and alarms featuring unique nature sounds

Google is launching a new collection of Pixel ringtones and alarms called Sound Matters. Launched with the Pixel 9 series, this collection is now available for previous models as well.

"Sound Matters includes unique bird sounds from remote areas of Botswana and Zimbabwe, recorded in late 2023.

The collection contains the sounds of a dawn chorus of birds reflecting the richness of the ecosystem. In particular, you can enjoy six ringtones and alarms, such as Limpopo Savannah at Dawn and Zimbabwe Hills at Dawn. Four notification sounds are also available, including Meyer's Parrot at Dawn and African Fish Eagle at Dawn.

Google is also offering a 1-hour Sound Matters Dawn Chorus recording for all users, available on the Fitbit app. These sounds can have a positive impact on mental and emotional well-being by reducing stress and anxiety.

The Google Sounds 3.1 app update is now rolling out via the Play Store for Pixel 4 and later models.
