Apple is planning to manufacture Pro versions of the iPhone in India for the first time ever.
Here's What We Know
This was reported by the American edition of Bloomberg. According to the source, the Foxconn plant in India will begin assembling the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max at its facilities within a few weeks after their release.
Apple has been assembling iPhones in India for the past seven years. According to a report earlier this year, India accounts for 14 per cent of Apple's total smartphone production. This figure is expected to rise to 25 per cent as early as next year.
By the way, if rumours are to be believed, Apple is going to completely shift iPhone 17 production to India in 2026.
