The End is Near: popular roguelike game Dead Cells has received the final content update The End is Near

Motion Twin and Evil Empire studios have released the final content update for the popular roguelike metroidvania Dead Cells.

The patch was released on all platforms, became the thirty-fifth and received the eloquent name "The End is Near" (The End is Near).

Here's What We Know

The developers added more enemies, weapons and mutations that interact with the curse mechanics, 40 new heads for the main character and reconstructed passages between many locations, including the exit from the Host Citadel in the royal castle.

There are new customisations in the game, such as being able to choose the size of icons or completely change their design.

The studios thanked gamers for their longstanding interest in Dead Cells and acknowledged that their constructive criticism helped make the game what it is now.

After this update, the developers will continue to release technical updates if needed, but no new content will appear in the game.

The developers' paths diverge further: Motion Twin Studios is busy completing development of the colourful co-op roguelike action game Windblown, while Evil Empire's game designers are working on the development of The Rogue Prince of Persia.
