Renovate Robotics presents Rufus V1: The new robot for roof tile installation

Renovate Robotics has unveiled its latest robot, Rufus V1, which automates one of the most common and dangerous tasks in construction - installing roof tiles.

Here's What We Know

The model is an improvement on previous prototypes the New York-based firm demonstrated earlier this year. The Rufus V1 is faster and more accurate than its predecessors, despite being about half the weight. The manipulator's modular structure allows different end effectors to be attached to perform different tasks.

Currently, Rufus can only install asphalt shingles, but future versions will be able to dismantle them and install solar panels. This robot represents a significant step forward in building process automation, offering safer and more efficient solutions for the construction industry.
