TikTok's ByteDance officially unveiled a new virtual reality headset - Pico 4 Ultra
Pico, a company owned by ByteDance (the owner of TikTok), has officially unveiled a new virtual reality headset - Pico 4 Ultra, which is the successor to the Pico 4 model.
Here's What We Know
This model is intended to become a direct competitor to Meta Quest 3 and surprises with powerful characteristics: Qualcomm Snapdragon XR Gen 2 chipset, 12 GB of RAM, and 256 GB of storage.
Pico 4 Ultra has displays with a resolution of 2160 x 2160 pixels per eye and a viewing angle of 105° × 105°. The headset also features a 21.9 Wh battery, 45W charging, stereo speakers and four microphones. It runs on an Android-based OS, which allows for simultaneous connection of a smartphone and a PC.
The gadget is equipped with two 32-megapixel cameras for full-colour viewing and can record 3D video with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels at 60 Hz.
For now, the Pico 4 Ultra is only available in China for 4,299 yuan ($603). An international launch has not yet been confirmed.
