The first gameplay footage of multiplayer survival simulator Dune: Awakening from the creators of Conan Exiles has been unveiled

At Opening Night Live studio FunCom showed gameplay footage of the ambitious multiplayer survival simulator Dune: Awakening, based on Frank Herbert's novels and Denis Villeneuve's films of the same name.

Here's What We Know

The audience was shown the deserted, yet picturesque landscapes of the planet Arrakis, the user interface, basic gameplay mechanics, building settlements, the process of creating items, battles with virtual enemies and other players, controlling the Ornitopter and fighting with huge Sandworms.

In Dune: Awakening, players will join a powerful clan and fight fierce battles with other factions, not so much by force, but through political subterfuge, espionage and player deception.

Every week in Dune there will be a large-scale sandstorm, which will update locations and prepare the game for new events.

When We Can Expect It

Dune: Awakening will release in early 2025 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series/
