Playing will get easier: Microsoft has unveiled the Xbox Adaptive Joystick, a device compatible with Xbox, PC, Android and iOS, for people with disabilities

Microsoft has taken another step to make video games accessible to people with disabilities.

A few years ago, the Xbox Adaptive Controller appeared on the market, which, despite all its functionality, could not help all categories of gamers, but set a trend for the development of such devices.

Now Microsoft is ready to offer another accessory that will simplify the use of Xbox consoles, PCs and even mobile devices.

Here's What We Know

The public was introduced to the Xbox Adaptive Joystick, a companion device compatible with Xbox Series X/S, PC, Android and iOS.

The Adaptive Joystick works in conjunction with the Adaptive Controller and connects to it via a USB-C cable and is a larger stick that is adjustable in size.

The device can be attached to the armrest of a chair or other surface and rotates freely 360 degrees. The buttons are customisable in detail via the Xbox Accessories app. The device can also be paired with a standard Xbox gamepad.

Xbox Adaptive Joystick does not support vibration.

The novelty will go on sale in 2025.
