Blizzard reveals details of Vessel of Hatred DLC for Diablo IV in new trailer

Blizzard has released another trailer for the Vessel of Hatred expansion pack for Diablo IV, revealing new features such as Mercenaries, the Nahantu region, and The Dark Citadel end game.

Here's What We Know

Mercenaries:

• Unlockable companions with unique skills and backstories.
• Raheir: A defence specialist with armour enhancement effects.
• Varyana: A butcher who attracts enemies and delivers devastating attacks.
• Aldkin: A hybrid warrior who switches between human and demon forms.
• Subo: A drunken archer who focuses on ranged combat.

The Link system offers additional benefits for fighting alongside mercenaries.

Nahantu Region:

• Six new areas, including Lingering Hatred, Skittering Earth, Field of Giants, and The Dark Citadel.
• New enemies such as Hollow, Dreg and Lacuni.

The Dark Citadel:

• Joint endgame activity for two to four players.
• Defend yourself against hordes of Khazra trying to resurrect their deity.
• Unique mechanics such as zone defence and boss attack deflection.
• Rewards include unique armour sets and cosmetic currency.

Kurast Undercity:

• A time-based dungeon crawler with adjustable difficulty through tribute.
• Higher difficulty gives higher rewards

Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred is coming out on 8 October for Xbox Series, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC.
