Civilization VII will have a slightly revised system of eras and leaders

2K and Firaxis continue to share more details about Civilization VII, this time revealing changes to the epoch and leader system.

Here's What We Know

From now on, each game will be divided into three main eras: Antiquity, Exploration, and Modernity. Each of them will offer unique resources, technologies, civil rights, units, and buildings, and your choices in one era directly affect the next, creating dynamic progress.

Changes have also affected the leader system: players will have the opportunity to customise them depending on their own needs thanks to attributes that can be obtained during the gameplay.

Civilization VII will be available for Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.

The game will be released on 11 February 2025.
