Directive 8020 in the world of The Dark Pictures will be the first full-fledged survival-horror game of the franchise, not an interactive film

We wrote that The Dark Pictures Anthology will get a new game, Directive 8020, which will tell the story of a crew surviving in space. Now we know a little more about the game.

Here's What We Know

The Supermassive Massive studio decided to do something bigger than the previous games in the series, so Directive 8020 is a full-fledged survival-horror game, not an interactive film.

Events will take place in space. We will be introduced to the crew of the Cassiopeia, which is being hunted by an alien organism that can imitate its prey. And the heroes must outwit the infection to survive. However, in this fight, they face the most difficult choice: to escape, they must risk the lives of all people on Earth.

The player's choice, as in the previous games in the series, will influence the plot and determine which characters will survive and which will remain in space forever.

And the main character of the pioneering astronaut Young is played by Hollywood actress Lashana Lynch (Bob Marley: One Love, The Warrior Queen).

When We Can Expect It

Directive 8020 will be released in 2025 on PC, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5.
