Instagram now allows you to add songs to your profile

Instagram has introduced a new feature that allows users to add songs to their profiles. Meta launched this feature in collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter, who was the first to demonstrate the new feature by posting a teaser of her song "Taste" on her profile.

This option adds a touch of nostalgia, harking back to the days of MySpace when similar features already existed.

How To Switch It On

Now you can customise your profile by choosing a song to reflect your mood. To add music, simply click on the edit profile option on Instagram, select a song or find it in the "For You" section, and then choose 30 seconds to post.

Music does not play automatically, users must press the play button.

Instagram recently increased the limit on the number of photos and videos in carousel posts to 20 media files per post.
