Google will bring back control over ANC and spatial audio to the new volume control panel in the final version of Android 15
An early beta version of Android 15 featured Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and spatial audio controls built into the new volume control panel. However, Google later removed these features, raising doubts about their appearance in the stable version of the OS. It has now been revealed that Google plans to bring back these features in the final release of Android 15.
Here's What We Know
A Google employee has confirmed that the absence of these controls in the latest beta versions is intentional and they will be added in the final release. However, these features will only work with Google's headphones like the Pixel Buds Pro and Pixel Buds Pro 2. Even when the controls were temporarily available in Android 15 beta 2, they didn't work with other devices.
The images show that users will be able to control noise cancellation and spatial audio through a floating window without opening a separate app. It is not yet known when exactly Android 15 will become available in a stable version, but it is expected to happen in the coming weeks or months.
