Google recently released the Pixel 9 with new features including Pixel Screenshots and Pixel Studio. However, these innovative features are currently only available in a limited number of countries: USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, Singapore, India, and Malaysia.

Here's What We Know

Other regions will have to wait for their launch, although Google has not yet announced specific plans to expand availability.

For reference, the Pixel 9, 9 Pro, and 9 Pro XL are also available in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States (excluding Puerto Rico). Pixel Screenshots is only available in 8 of these 23 countries.

To use the AI features, users must be 18 years of age or older and have an active personal Google account on their phone. Work and school accounts are not supported.

During setup, you can enable the option to "Search for screenshots using AI on your device". If you turn this option off later, you will be asked if you want to "Remove all AI summaries and metadata". Pixel Screenshots can also be used as a primary tool for capturing images, unlike Google Photos or Files by Google.

Pixel Screenshots allows you to extract data from the screenshots you take according to the user's needs. This differs from other features in that it does not require constant screen monitoring.

Pixel Studio uses generative artificial intelligence to create and edit images based on prompts.

For users who don't have access to these features, there are alternatives, but they can't completely replace the capabilities of Pixel Screenshots and Studio.

Google promises that these features may become available in the future to a wider range of users.
