Apple may discontinue iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, AirPods 3 and Apple Watch Series 9 and other devices in September 2024
In September, Apple is planning a big announcement of new products, such as the iPhone 16 and the new AirPods. This also means that the company is likely to stop selling several older models.
Here's What We Know
iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max
According to Apple's tradition, flagship iPhone models usually go out of business a year after their release. This is likely to be the last opportunity for buyers to purchase the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, as the new iPhone 16 will be released next month.
iPhone 14 Plus
The iPhone 14 Plus with its large display and long battery life is likely to become a thing of the past. This phone was introduced after the failure of the mini models and will be replaced by a new model in the iPhone 15 or iPhone 16 series.
iPhone 13
The iPhone 13, released in 2021, is the last old iPhone left on Apple's website. Since it is already three years old, it will probably be discontinued, and the iPhone 14 will replace it in the price range.
Apple Watch Series 9, Ultra 2, and SE 2
The Apple Watch update expected next month is likely to discontinue the Series 9, Ultra 2, and SE 2. Instead, new models will be introduced, including the Series 10 with larger displays and the Ultra 3, while the SE 3 may have a plastic case at a more affordable price.
AirPods 2 and AirPods 3
The AirPods 2, which were introduced in 2019, are likely to be discontinued with the announcement of the new AirPods 4 models. The AirPods 3, presented in 2021, will also disappear from the lineup, giving way to a new mid-range configuration.
iPad mini 6 and iPad 10
Updates for the iPad mini and iPad 10 are also on the horizon. New models are likely to replace these cheaper options. The iPad mini 6 and iPad 10, which were popular due to their affordability and functionality, may be discontinued.
