Unusual Skopós operative, new weapons and balance changes: Ubisoft unveiled details of the Operation Twin Shells update for Rainbow Six Siege

Ubisoft held a presentation of the third season of the ninth year of development of the popular network shooter Rainbow Six Siege. The update was called Operation Twin Shells and will offer not only a lot of innovations, but also fixes for the shortcomings of past updates.

Here's What We Know

Twin Shells season will start already on the 10th of September and will offer the following innovations:

  • Operative Skopós is a Defender class character hailing from Greece. She moves on a wheelchair and has great mobility and increased health. She does not take part in firefights, but masterfully controls two combat robots named Talos and Colossus. The player can instantly switch between them and thus better control the course of the battle. In addition, Skopós sets up defence barriers, which helps her team to hold off the onslaught of the enemy;
  • a new weapon, the PCX-331 rifle, will be added to the game;
  • Operation Twin Shells will launch beta testing of a new Siege Cup mode, where players will be able to compete in teams of five. Players will receive special coins for participating in matches;
  • Drones in Rainbow Six Siege will get a Speed Boost feature that will allow them to move quickly around the map;
  • while picking up players, users will be able to go to the shooting range to warm up before the start of the match;
  • the developers will seriously reconsider the balance of three characters - Nøkk, Dokkaebi and Solis;
  • the popular Tachanka character will receive a number of improvements, including a new weapon - the RP-46 machine gun with a large magazine capacity and high firepower;
  • the Outback map will undergo changes, with some locations being redesigned for greater balance;
  • Rainbow Six Siege will feature a variety of cosmetic items and a revamped Battle Pass that will offer new quests and rewards.

Twin Shells season launches immediately on all platforms. All its details can be found on Ubisoft's website.
