Flashback

CV90 (Combat Vehicle 90) is a family of Swedish infantry fighting vehicles, developed by BAE Systems Hägglunds in 1993. The CV90 is designed to support infantry in complex combat environments. The vehicle has high mobility, powerful armament and advanced defence.

The CV90's main armament includes a 30mm or 35mm automatic cannon that can engage armoured vehicles, aerial targets and enemy infantry. Additionally, it is equipped with machine guns and ATGM systems. The CV90 also has improved armour and active protection systems. The vehicle can overcome difficult obstacles and operates in various climatic conditions (from arctic to desert). There are several modifications of the CV90. Each is adapted for specific tasks (reconnaissance, command or fire support). CV90 is actively used by the armed forces of Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, Ukraine and other countries.
