It's official: A stable version of Android 15 for the Pixel lineup will be released in October

Google has officially announced that the Android 15 update for Pixel devices will be released in October. Previously, the company had planned to release the update in September, but decided to postpone it to improve system stability.

Here's What We Know

The updated Android beta release notes state that users should ignore the offer to downgrade to Android 14 until Android 15 becomes available in October. This confirms earlier reports that the update will be available in mid-October.

Among the devices that will receive the update are all models from the Pixel 6 lineup to the Pixel 9 series, Pixel Tablet and Pixel Fold.

The exact release date for the stable Android 15 firmware is not yet known, but it is expected to happen in mid-October. Independent Android developers will be able to get the Android 15 source code as early as next week.
