A new game based on the famous SpongeBob SquarePants animated series has been announced at the Nintendo Direct.

Publisher Outright Games presented a colourful trailer of SpongeBob SquarePants: The Patrick Star Game - and the title of the new game fully reflects its essence. The main character of the game will be the best friend of SpongeBob - starfish Patrick.

In terms of gameplay, it will be a colourful action game with platformer elements and a huge number of various mini-games, and the events will unfold in the cute town of Bikini Bottom. SpongeBob SquarePants: The Patrick Star Game will feature all the famous characters from the series: SpongeBob, Mr Krabs, Sandy, Mrs Puff and Plankton named Sheldon.

When We Can Expect It

SpongeBob SquarePants: The Patrick Star Game will release on 4 October on all current platforms including Nintendo Switch.
