Android 15 QPR1 now has a button to instantly switch between keyboards

Google has introduced a new way to switch between keyboards in Android 15 QPR1, which makes this process much easier. The new version has a button that allows you to quickly change the keyboard with a single press, and a long press opens the switching menu.

Here's What We Know

This makes managing multiple keyboards easier and more convenient, especially when working with one hand.

The updated keyboard switch button now looks like a wireframe globe instead of an abstract keyboard, and the button is located lower on the screen for easier access. It is also integrated into the Material You interface, making it more modern and harmonious with the rest of the OS.

This new functionality is already available in beta. Although the exact release date of the update is not yet known, the new button promises to make interacting with keyboards on Android much easier.
