Google Chat now supports integration with IFTTT

Google Chat announces a new integration with IFTTT (If This Then That), which opens up new opportunities for automation. Now both Google Workspace and personal account users can automate chats from over 1000 popular apps.

Here's What We Know

With IFTTT integration, you can set up triggers for new messages, participants, or spaces, and perform actions such as posting to a group or creating a new space. For example, when you add a new member to a group, you can automatically send an email or a notification when a new file is added to Google Drive or Dropbox.

This feature allows you to keep your communities up-to-date by automatically posting mentions from Discord, X, and Facebook to your chats.

The integration is also available for other Google Workspace services such as Gmail, Drive, and Calendar.

In addition, Google Chat has added support for the UKG Flow app, accessible through Workspace administrators.
