Tecno has revealed the Phantom Ultimate 2 concept: a smartphone that folds into three
Tecno has unveiled a concept smartphone called Phantom Ultimate 2.
Here's What We Know
Phantom Ultimate 2 offers a large screen that can fold into three parts. The gadget is capable of expanding from a 6.48-inch screen to a 10-inch LTPO OLED screen with 1620×2880p resolution and 4:3 aspect ratio. When unfolded, the Phantom Ultimate 2 supports multi-window mode, which allows you to run more than three applications at the same time.
Tecno claims that the Phantom Ultimate 2 is the first foldable device with TDDI technology, where the display driver and touch sensor are on the same chip. According to the manufacturer, the new hinge mechanism can withstand 300,000 folds.
Tecno offers several ways to use the Phantom Ultimate 2, including a notebook mode with the bottom half folded down and a keyboard for taking notes. In tent mode, two identical display pieces are placed on opposite sides for dual-screen communication and live translation.
When We Can Expect It
The manufacturer does not yet say when it plans to release the serial version of the novelty.
By the way, Huawei, Samsung and Xiaomi are now also working on similar devices.
