Samsung Galaxy S21 series flagships of the Samsung Galaxy S21 series have started receiving the August security update in the US

Samsung earlier this month updated its Galaxy S21 series smartphones in European and Asian regions with a new security patch. Now it has been revealed that models for the US market too have started receiving the security update for August.

Here's What We Know

The new security update is now available for the factory unlocked Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra models. Firmware version G99xU1UEUCGXGB includes a security patch for August 2024 that fixes around 50 vulnerabilities found in previous versions of the software. This update is available to all US carriers.

There are no new system features in this update. A big update for the Galaxy S21 lineup is expected with the One UI 7.0 based on Android 15, which is expected to be announced at the end of October. This will be the last major update for these smartphones.
