Google makes it easier to use Wallet on all Android smartphones with new update

Google has started rolling out a new tab for the Google Wallet app in the Android Quick Settings panel. This update became available with Google Play Services v24.33.

Here's What We Know

The new tile allows users to quickly access the Google Wallet app with a single tap, and a long press opens up information about the app. Previously, access to Google Wallet via quick settings was limited and depended on the device manufacturer, which was especially true for Samsung users. Now, however, thanks to the update, users will be able to add the Google Wallet tab to Quick Settings regardless of the smartphone model.

This innovation makes it much easier to use Google Wallet for contactless payments and digital card management. In addition, Google continues to improve the app's functionality by adding support for new banks and credit unions, as well as expanding digital pass storage options. A new tab in quick settings will make using Wallet more convenient and accessible for all Android users.
