It has been reported that some owners of the new Samsung Galaxy Fold 6 have noticed that the paint on their devices is starting to peel off. Samsung attributes this to the use of third-party chargers and accessories.

The company claims that the problem is caused by the use of third-party high-speed chargers that are not properly grounded, which causes current leakage and damage to the device's anodised finish. Samsung recommends using only original chargers, which it hasn't put in the box since 2021.
The company also mentions that using quality third-party Qi-compliant chargers shouldn't be a problem. However, there are low-quality and fake chargers on the market that can damage the metal of the device. Samsung stresses that all their products undergo rigorous testing and advises contacting service centres for assistance.
