Dinosaurs return: title, cast and first images of the new Jurassic World film franchise revealed

Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment have revealed the title of the new film in the Jurassic World franchise and released its first footage.

The film is called Jurassic World: Rebirth, and its events will unfold five years after the finale of the last film - Jurassic World Dominion.

The lead roles in Rebirth will be played by Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey and Mahershala Ali. The script is being written by David Koepp, the author of the first Jurassic Park and its sequel.

In the centre of attention will be a group of scientists who have to find three special dinosaurs and take their DNA samples to create a drug that will help mankind.

The task is complicated by the fact that because of the deterioration of climatic and environmental conditions on Earth, each species of dinosaur now lives in separate biomes researchers need to bypass many of them to find the right individuals.

Viewers can expect many spectacular scenes, drama and even horror and, of course, majestic prehistoric lizards.

Jurassic World: Rebirth is scheduled to premiere on 2 July 2025.
