More than 850 million new viewers watched the 2024 Olympic Games

YouTube has released statistics on the views of the 2024 Olympic Games. Users spent more than 40 billion minutes on the platform, which is equivalent to more than 650 million hours.

Here's What We Know

Olympic content received more than 12 billion views, of which 850 million were unique viewers. In particular, more than 18 billion minutes were watched in front of the TV, with 35% of the time spent in the living room.

These figures demonstrate the incredible success of the broadcast, especially considering that they do not include the audience of cable networks and the Peacock platform.

According to CNN, NBCUniversal claims 30.6 million viewers and 23.5 billion minutes of viewing. This represents an 82% increase in audience in 2024 compared to the Tokyo Games and a 40% increase over all previous Summer and Winter Olympics.
