Return of a legend: HMD Global may revive the Nokia Lumia 1020 with a new 4-lens camera
According to a leak, HMD Global is working on a new smartphone that could be the successor to the legendary Lumia 1020.
Here's What We Know
The Nokia Lumia 1020 was known for its 41-megapixel camera sensor, and the new device will apparently follow that design. A leaked sketch shows that the device will feature a circular camera module with four lenses and an LED flash. This will be HMD's first phone with four cameras.
It is reported that this HMD smartphone will focus on high-end photography. Although the exact specifications are still unknown, the device is expected to be in the flagship segment.
HMD has a long way to go to compete with the current leaders in mobile photography, but the revival of the Lumia 1020 could be a significant step in that direction.
