State of Decay 2 support ends: final update for zombie action game will be released in late 2024

Undead Labs studio has announced the imminent end of content support for zombie action game State of Decay.

The developers plan to fully concentrate on the creation of State of Decay 3, so they should finish the release of new content for the second part of the series.

However, until then, the final update will be released, in which the developers will fix some of the remaining bugs, make a number of improvements and permanently unlock all players access to limited content, such as seasonal events and outfits.

Update 38 is planned for release in late 2024.

Undead Labs emphasises that all elements of the game will continue to function and State of Decay 2 will remain available, but there will be no more new content for it.

As for State of Decay 3, this game was announced in 2020 and since then there is almost no official information about it. Not so long ago Xbox Games Showcase unveils new trailer for ambitious zombie action game State of Decay 3, but even he did not reveal the details of the new part, and the release date of the game remains unknown.
