HMD unveils HMD Fusion smartphone that can be configured and repaired by yourself

Human Mobile Devices (HMD) has announced its new innovative smartphone, the HMD Fusion. This device offers a unique opportunity for personalisation thanks to its modular design, as well as support for self-repair via iFixit.

Technical Characteristics

Modular accessories (Smart Outfits): With interchangeable accessories coming later this year, users will be able to tailor their smartphone to suit their needs. Available modules include a selfie ring light, wireless charging, protective cases and gaming accessories.
Camera capabilities: HMD Fusion is equipped with a 108-megapixel primary camera and a 50-megapixel selfie camera. These cameras support a variety of shooting modes, including selfie gestures, slow motion, and low light.
Protection and reliability: The smartphone is IP68-rated, making it dustproof and waterproof. Thanks to the protective accessories (Rugged Outfit) and support for wireless charging via magnets, this device will become a reliable partner for extreme conditions.
Design: HMD Fusion combines style and functionality. The device has a reinforced plastic and stainless steel body, and comes with a clear case (Casual Outfit) that emphasises the industrial design.
Self-repair: The smartphone supports iFixit repair, which makes replacing broken screens or batteries a simple process.

Additional features

Digital Detox mode: HMD Fusion will receive an update with Digital Detox mode by the end of the year. This mode will help users control the time spent on their smartphone by reducing the number of notifications and blocking apps for a certain period of time.

Modular design and innovative accessories

HMD Fusion allows you to fully customise your smartphone through a series of modular Smart Outfits accessories that will be released later this year. They allow you to extend the functionality of your smartphone depending on the user's needs. Among the accessories:

Ring light for creating the perfect selfie;
Wireless charging for convenient wireless charging;
Gaming accessories to turn your device into a real game console;
Protective cases that provide reliable protection for the device in extreme conditions.
Accessories are attached with special Fusion pins, which allows you to instantly change the hardware and software capabilities of your smartphone.

Availability.

HMD Fusion will go on sale in Ukraine in September this year.
