One UI 6.1.1.1 update brings ultra-high sound quality to the Galaxy S24

Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 6.1.1.1 update for the Galaxy S24 series of smartphones, which brings a host of new features, among which Samsung Scalable Codec Ultra High Quality (SSC UHQ) support stands out.

Here's What We Know

This codec provides 24-bit audio with a sampling rate of 96kHz, which greatly improves the sound quality. Previously, this feature was only available on Galaxy Fold 6 and Galaxy Flip 6 as it required One UI 6.1.1. Now, Galaxy S24 owners can enjoy improved sound when using Galaxy Buds 3 Pro headphones.

To activate SSC UHQ, you need to manually enable the option in the phone's settings. Samsung warns that using this feature may result in sound lag in some scenarios and faster battery drain on both the phone and headphones. The One UI 6.1.1.1 update also includes other improvements and new features that make using Galaxy devices even more convenient and functional.
