Test Drive Unlimited's Solar Crown racing game Test Drive Unlimited is receiving low-key reviews and has been criticised for its boring open world and technical issues
Next week will see the release of Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown racing game from the publisher Nacon and French studio Kylotonn.
Long before the release, the project caused concern because of questionable technical performance and not the best graphics. Critics got acquainted with the new part of Test Drive and we already know their opinion.
Here's What We Know
At the moment Metacritic has published reviews only for PS5 version and they are not very comforting: the game got only 65 points, but there are no openly negative reviews.
Critics are unanimous in the fact that Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown is quite good and fun arcade race, which can for a while fascinate fans of this genre, but the game is unlikely to interest the outside audience and is not able to hold the attention of gamers for a long time.
Experts praised the good gameplay, good controls and a large selection of cars in Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, but noted that because of the too large open world locations lack elaboration, so travelling through them quickly become boring.
The game has a lot of additional content and optional activities, but critics doubt that many players will want to do them.
Unfortunately, as gamers expected, the technical state of Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown is not at the highest level, because of which the game suffers from unstable performance and in general looks worse than competitors in the genre.
When We Can Expect It
Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown will be released on 12 September on PC, Xbox Series and PS5.
Earlier the developers published the You won't need an upgrade to run Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown: the developers have published the final system requirements of the racing game.
