DJI unveils new Neo mini drone for vloggers with artificial intelligence and 4K video mode without remote control
DJI has unveiled its smallest and most compact drone yet, the DJI Neo, which weighs just 135 grams. With this device, users can easily capture cinematic 4K video without the need for a remote control.
Here's What We Know
The drone can be launched and landed from the palm of your hand. The Neo features AI technology for tracking objects, QuickShots for automatic shots, and 4K video recording with ultra-stabilisation.
Key features of DJI Neo
- AI subject tracking: The drone automatically follows the subject's movement, ideal for shooting during outdoor activities or video blogging.
- 4K UHD video: The drone's camera captures stabilised 4K/30fps video for crisp, clear images.
- Six intelligent shooting modes: including popular modes such as Dronie, Helix and Boomerang, which allow you to capture creative videos from different angles.
- Convenience without a remote control: the drone can be fully controlled through the DJI Fly app, which uses a Wi-Fi connection and allows you to control the drone from up to 50 metres away. Additionally, you can connect DJI Goggles and voice control.
- Flight time: up to 18 minutes on a single charge.
- Stabilisation: The Neo features a single-axis mechanical gimbal and RockSteady and HorizonBalancing technology for smooth videos, even in windy conditions.
- Internal storage: The drone has 22GB of internal storage, enough to store up to 40 minutes of 4K video, and connectivity to your smartphone makes it easy to transfer footage without additional cables.
-
Wireless audio recording: Once connected to the DJI Fly app, DJI Neo can record audio with the DJI Mic 2 connected via Bluetooth or use the phone's built-in microphone. The app also automatically removes propeller noise and merges the audio track with the footage for clear audio.
-
High-speed data transfer: After shooting, footage can be instantly transferred to the DJI Fly app over Wi-Fi for easy post-production and sharing.
-
One-touch glamour: Add Glamour Effects to your videos through the DJI Fly app to look your best on the set.
-
Editing: The DJI Fly app offers a variety of templates and sound effects for easy editing of your videos.
The DJI Neo is already available for pre-order for €199, and the Fly More Combo version is available for €349. The new product will make its official debut at IFA 2024, which will take place from 6 to 10 September in Germany, where visitors will be able to test the drone at the DJI stand.
