The original Alan Wake, which was released back in 2010, will receive an update. However, it will involve changes in the music.
Here's What We Know
On 10 September, the classic 60s David Bowie tune Space Oddity will be removed from the Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG versions of the game.
Its place will be taken by a song by Petri Alanko called Strange Moons. The composer has worked with the studio on projects such as Control and Alan Wake 2, so we're already looking forward to hearing what Alanko has written.
But Alan Wake Remastered, which was released in 2021, will not be affected by these changes.
And it's good that Remedy found a way out and didn't withdraw the game from sales simply because the licence for one of the dozen tracks expired.
