Apple claims that MacBook Air M3 is 40% faster than the 7th generation Microsoft Surface Laptop

Apple has updated its marketing materials for the MacBook Air M3, noting significant improvements over the competition. The company claims that the new MacBook Air M3 is 40% faster than the Copilot+ PC in terms of graphics performance and is the "best AI PC ever".

Here's What We Know

When it launched in March, Apple did not focus on the AI capabilities of the new MacBook Air, but now the company is actively promoting these benefits.

Apple is also comparing the new MacBook Air M3 to the 7th generation Microsoft Surface Laptop, claiming that it is 40% faster than the Copilot+ PC in terms of graphics performance and 25% faster for web browsing.

The comparison involves a MacBook Air M3 with 16GB of RAM, an 8-core CPU and a 10-core GPU, and a 7th-generation Surface Laptop with a 12-core Snapdragon X Elite processor and 16GB of RAM.

It should be noted that the new Intel Lunar Lake laptops and Strix Point products are also included in the Copilot+ PC programme. Intel promises significant performance improvements, particularly in the area of artificial intelligence. Therefore, a final conclusion about the advantages of the MacBook Air M3 can only be made after a comparison with these latest Copilot+ PCs.
