Apple may release macOS Sequoia by mid-September

macOS Sequoia may be one of the earliest releases of new versions of macOS in the last ten years. According to information from internal Apple documents obtained by MacRumors, the official launch of macOS 15.0 Sequoia is likely to take place by mid-September.

If macOS Sequoia is released by mid-September, it will be the earliest launch of a new macOS since OS X 10.8.

Typically, new versions of iOS are released at least a week before new versions of macOS. This year, with the expected launch of the iPhone 16 on 9 September, macOS Sequoia could be released before a new version of iOS, which would be the first time in history.

Apple is likely to announce the release date of iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia at its event on 9 September, where it will also unveil new iPhone 16 models, Apple Watch, and the fourth generation of AirPods.
