Crazy Taxi's leaked gameplay footage has revealed that SEGA has significantly changed the concept of the acclaimed series

Not so long ago SEGA announced the relaunch of its once famous games, including Crazy Taxi.

Japanese developers do not reveal details of the project and almost do not share gameplay footage, but undoubtedly the work is actively progressing.

Here's What We Know

Insider Ryan from the Bronx, aka Midori, has published gameplay footage of an early version of Crazy Taxi, dating back to early 2022.

The short video didn't reveal all the details of the game, but confirmed that Sega has confirmed that the Crazy Taxi relaunch will be a multiplayer game with live-service elements and is more like a service game than the traditional single-player games that Crazy Taxi has always been.

The main evidence of this is the fact that the footage shown shows players competing not with virtual opponents and a merciless expiring timer, but with each other. In addition, the cars do not look like taxis at all and more like racing cars.

Earlier it was reported that the new version of Crazy Taxi will have a spacious open world with a huge number of activities and opportunities for online interaction.

Ryan from the Bronx reports that the game will not be released until 2027, so everything shown in the video may undergo significant changes.
