Apple unveils iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus: new colours, camera button, and AI capabilities
Apple has unveiled the new iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models, which, according to the company, were "created from scratch" with new artificial intelligence capabilities.
Here's What We Know
The iPhone 16 features a new button on the side panel that will make it easier to take photos and videos. This button, called Camera Control, allows you to take pictures and adjust the zoom with a simple swipe. In addition, the new iPhone has an action button, which was previously exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro model, replacing the mute switch.
Apple also said that the iPhone 16 has the strongest glass available to protect the display from scratches. The iPhone 16 has a 6.1-inch screen, and the iPhone 16 Plus has a 6.7-inch screen.
New artificial intelligence capabilities integrated into iPhone 16 provide quick access to functions through Camera Control. The device is powered by the new A18 chip, which is 30% faster than the previous A16 Bionic chip in the iPhone 15.
Apple is actively promoting a new set of Apple Intelligence features that harness the power of both the A18 chip and Apple's Private Cloud Compute infrastructure.
