Leaked data points to the possible use of the Exynos 2500 in the Samsung Galaxy S25
It was recently reported that Samsung is planning to use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset for all Galaxy S25 series devices. However, a new leak suggests that the Galaxy S25 may still use its own Exynos 2500 chipset.
Here's What We Know
A screenshot posted by whistleblower @theonecid on social network X shows a Samsung device with the s5e9955 chipset, which is the Exynos 2500 model number, a 10-core processor, Xclipse 950 GPU, 14GB of RAM and a 3200 x 1440 pixel resolution display. We can assume that this device is probably the Galaxy S25.

You can now stop saying S25 will be 8 Gen4 only pic.twitter.com/lJVJwJAux6
However, experts at Android Authority noticed that the image mentions the term "ERD" (Exynos Reference Design), which could mean that this device is being used to test the Exynos 2500 chipset and is not necessarily the Galaxy S25. Thus, it remains possible that Samsung will use Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 for the Galaxy S25 series to deliver high performance and compete with Apple, which recently launched the artificial intelligence-enabled iPhone 16 series.
More leaks are expected to emerge soon to give a better idea of the specifications of the upcoming Galaxy S25 smartphones.
