Final Fantasy 7: Part 3 remake "will not betray fans of the original game", - assures the producer

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, like its predecessor, subverts fans' expectations, but still follows many of the key storylines of the original. Despite the noticeable changes, producer Yoshinori Kitase assures fans that the end of the trilogy will not betray their expectations.

Here's What We Know

In an interview with Anime News Network, Kitase stressed that although the final part will not radically change the story, the team aims to deliver a "new kind of fun" that was not possible in the original game. He added that after 27 years, the remake offers the opportunity to bring new joy to modern players.

Creative director Tetsuya Nomura confirmed that the team is already hard at work on the next instalment, which is scheduled for release in 2027.
