A Samsung phone with a foldable display could be announced as early as 2025

Samsung is reportedly planning to release a smartphone with a flexible screen in 2025. According to the report, the device will feature a display that can be unfolded up to 12.4 inches, turning it into a tablet.

Here's What We Know

The technology will do away with two separate screens and a centre hinge. Samsung has already demonstrated a similar screen at this year's SID Display Week, where it unveiled the Rollable Flex OLED panel. The screen can roll up to a diameter of 49mm and unfold to 254.4mm.

The new smartphone is expected to feature an under-screen camera similar to the one used in the Galaxy Fold series. Although there has been no official announcement from Samsung yet, rumours about the development of such a device have been circulating for a few years now. If the information is confirmed, it would be a significant step forward for the company in the field of flexible displays.
