Huawei BE7: a router with Wi-Fi 7 support for less than $90
Huawei has announced a new budget router in its home market in China.
Here's What We Know
The model is called Huawei BE7. The novelty received support for the standard Wi-Fi 7 c theoretical maximum speed of up to 6500 Mbit / s. The router supports dual-band connection at 2.5 GHz and 5 GHz, as well as Wireless dual Wi-Fi. This technology intelligently boosts signal strength for devices over medium to long distances.
Under the bonnet of the BE7 is a 4K QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) module for improved data encoding efficiency. The router also has an ultra-thin antenna similar to base stations, six signal boosters and a cooling system. The new product has a Game Turbo Engine mode that reduces lag in games.
BE7 runs HarmonyOS 4.0. The router is equipped with 512 MB RAM and 128 MB ROM. The novelty supports different network protocols, including 802.3, 802.3u and 802.3ab.
Price & When We Can Expect It
Huawei BE7 is already available for pre-order in China for $83. Whether the new product will appear on the global market is still unknown.
