Surprise from THQ Nordic: updated version of Darksiders 2 announced for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series

In August, publisher Riders of the Apocalypse returns: THQ Nordic announced a new game based on the Darksiders universe, the main characters of which are the Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Unexpectedly, it turned out that this is not the only surprise for fans of the series.

Here's What We Know

The company presented an updated version of Darksiders 2 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. Users of modern consoles will be offered the game in 2012 in the Deathinitive Edition, which includes all add-ons. The action will launch in 4K resolution with increased frame rates, faster load times, ray tracing and support for all DualSense controller capabilities.

Those who bought the game on PS4 will get the updated version for free, but Xbox users are less lucky - they will have to buy the game again.

Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition will be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on the 15th of October.

The protagonist of Darksiders 2 is the Horseman of the Apocalypse Death. He seeks to justify the deeds of his brother War and prove that he destroyed humanity not by his own will, but was a victim of deception.

In terms of gameplay - this is a dynamic action game with spacious and colourful locations and a large number of different enemies.

Over the years the game has certainly become a bit outdated, but it still looks quite good and can give bright emotions thanks to the excellent combat system.
