Samsung suspends One UI 6.1.1.1 update for Galaxy S23 Ultra due to camera issues

Samsung released the One UI 6.1.1.1 update for the Galaxy S23 Ultra in the second week of September, adding new Galaxy AI features. However, users soon discovered a bug causing blurring in photos when zoomed in from 16x to 19.9x. As a result, Samsung decided to withdraw the update to fix the issue.

Here's What We Know

The bug doesn't affect the regular and Plus versions of the Galaxy S23, so their update remains available. Galaxy S23 Ultra owners who have already installed the update are advised to temporarily change their camera settings to avoid the issue. Samsung was quick to acknowledge the error, apologised for the inconvenience and confirmed that it is working on a fix.

The One UI 6.1.1.1 update includes new features such as Sketch to Image, Portrait Studio and real translation of VoIP calls. Until Samsung releases a patched version of the firmware, Galaxy S23 Ultra users can use the Expert RAW app to shoot at a magnification of more than 15x to avoid problems with blurred objects in photos.
