Anker withdraws three Power Bank models from sale due to fire risk
Anker is once again facing problems with the reliability of its products. In 2024, the company has already recalled a power supply and speakers due to the risk of fire, and now it has announced the withdrawal of three Power Bank models from sale due to defects that can lead to overheating and fire.
Here's What We Know
Users are urged to stop using the following models immediately: Anker 334 MagGo (PowerCore 10K), Anker Power Bank 20,000 mAh, and Anker 10,000 mAh MagGo.
These batteries, designed for the iPhone, may be unsafe due to a manufacturing defect that Anker attributes to a previous supplier. The company has already changed suppliers and is working to prevent similar situations in the future.
It is rare for a product to be withdrawn from sale due to a health risk, but Anker is forced to take this action.
The defective batteries were produced in limited quantities from 3 January to 17 September 2024.
