Insider reveals details about Vivo X200 Mini: new compact smartphone with 50-megapixel Sony IMX06C sensor

Vivo is preparing to launch the X200 series on 14 October. The new lineup will include a compact version called Vivo X200 Mini. A reliable insider at Digital Chat Station (DCS) has shared details about the camera characteristics of the new phone.

Here's What We Know

According to the information, the Vivo X200 Mini will have three cameras, including a 50-megapixel main camera. This module will use the new Sony IMX06C sensor with a large 1/1.28-inch size and f/1.57 aperture. This sensor is a novelty that there is not much information about yet, and it may debut with the X200 series.

In addition, the phone will feature a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 ultra-wide lens for capturing landscapes and group photos, as well as a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 periscope sensor with a focal length of 70 mm and f/2.57 aperture for zooming in.

The telephoto module will provide up to 10x hybrid zoom and macro capabilities.

The leaks also indicate that the Vivo X200 Mini will be powered by the Dimensity 9400 chipset, similar to the X200 and X200 Pro models. The device will be powered by a 5500 or 5600 mAh battery with support for wireless charging.

The front panel will feature a 6.3-inch display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. However, according to reports, the Vivo X200 Mini may have some disadvantages compared to its predecessor, including a short-focus optical fingerprint sensor instead of a more advanced ultrasonic one.
