The total number of copies sold of Dragon Age: Inquisition has reached 12 million copies

Dragon Age: Inquisition was released back in 2014, and at that time the game received wide critical acclaim and broke sales records for BioWare. According to former executive producer Mark Darrah, the game has sold more than 12 million copies, which far exceeded expectations.
Yeah I'm not sure where "DAI was a commercial failure" came from...
