Google has trolled the iPhone in a new advert comparing it to the Pixel 9

Google has released a new advert titled "Better Phones Forever" in which it mocks the iPhone for its shortcomings compared to the Pixel.

Here's What We Know

In the advert, the Pixel and iPhone engage in a therapy session where the iPhone admits that it has finally switched to RCS messaging and this has allowed it to share cat memes with other phones. Google emphasises that Apple has long refused to adopt RCS, a modern messaging standard that offers group chats, high-quality media sharing and read reports. The advert ends with both phones claiming they are "on the same page", symbolising improved communication between iPhone and Android users.

Google has been criticising the iPhone for over a year now for various shortcomings such as the lack of USB-C, a lacklustre camera and poor battery life. The latest ad highlights that Google is happy to see Apple finally join the RCS, and uses humour and clever marketing to mark the occasion.
