Battery life will be better: Battery capacity of all four smartphones in the iPhone 16 line-up revealed

Apple unveiled the iPhone 16 series in early September, but traditionally did not disclose the battery capacity. Now the details have been revealed: all 4 models received larger batteries.

The iPhone 16 Pro received the largest increase in battery capacity compared to its predecessor - 9.4%, while the base iPhone 16 has an increase of 6.3%, the iPhone 16 Plus - 6.6%, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max - 5.9%. The iPhone 16 has a 3,561 mAh battery, the iPhone 16 Plus has a 4,674 mAh battery, the iPhone 16 Pro has a 3,582 mAh battery, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max has a 4,685 mAh battery. Apple's new A18 and A18 Pro processors are also reportedly more power efficient than last year's models.

The devices support fast wired (38W) and wireless charging (25W), but the latter only works with MagSafe. All models are available for purchase starting today, with prices starting at $799 in the US but significantly higher in Europe.

The iPhone 16 Pro models also get larger displays and thinner bezels, and the regular 16 Pro variant now has the same camera setup as the larger 16 Pro Max model.
