Russians start using Chinese armoured vehicles ZFB-05 at the front

Russians spotted Chinese ZFB-05 Xinxing armoured vehicles in the combat zone, which are equipped with anti-drone nets.

The photos show a ZFB-05 Xinxing armoured vehicle equipped with anti-drone hood protection, sophisticated windscreen protection, side projection protection, and a machine gun "nest".

Earlier, in June 2023, it was already known that these armoured vehicles were used by the Federal Service of the Russian National Guard. About eight of these armoured vehicles were seen in service with the Chechen special rapid response unit Akhmat, which is part of the Russian National Guard.

Of course, after the publicity about the Chinese-made armoured vehicles, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said that China had never provided and is not providing Russia with any military or other assistance for its war.

It is not yet known whether the photos show the same "Akhmatov" ZFB-05 or whether the Russian occupation forces have started purchasing Chinese vehicles.

It is worth noting that this is not the only time the Russian government has purchased Chinese-made armoured vehicles. For example, in August, the Moscow Metro bought Dongfeng EQ2091XFB armoured vehicles. What is interesting and very "Russian" is that the subway vehicle is equipped with a machine gun nest.
