A modification is being made for Baldur's Gate 3, where all battles take place in real time
In Baldur's Gate 3, the battles are turn-based, but imagine what would happen if all the battles took place in real time? One of the modders also thought about it and is working on such a modification.
Here's What We Know
Modder tinybike is working on a version of the game with real-time battles. Instead of everyone taking turns, all actions are continuous, but you can stop at any time to give commands. At the moment, there is only "real time" and no "pause", but it is already an interesting version of Baldur's Gate 3.
The modder describes his work as "very, very, very rough", but he has posted a mod demo on YouTube. In the video, the tinybike delves into the coastal ruins near the Nautiloid crash site in the first act, fighting bandits in real time.
Also, an important part of the full version of the mod will be the implementation of party AI for characters that you do not control.
